FairWait ("the Service") is an informational tool for understanding, comparing and tracking healthcare costs and waiting times, and an optional personal record-keeper for your own care.
Nothing on the Service is medical, financial, insurance or legal advice, and using it does not create a doctor-patient or advisory relationship of any kind. Cost and waiting-time figures shown as "typical" or "average" are indicative estimates, not quotes — always confirm with the official source linked alongside each figure, and get a written quote from a provider before committing to treatment. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not rely on this Service.
Free browsing requires no account. Premium and Gold are paid tiers described on the Plans page; pricing shown there is current. Where the app is running as a preview/prototype, plan switching is simulated and does not involve real payment. Once real checkout is enabled, separate billing terms (refunds, cancellation, renewal) will be shown at the point of purchase and incorporated here.
Anything you enter into your own tracker (records, notes, quotes) remains yours. Where the live data mode is connected and you submit a price or waiting-time quote, you grant us a licence to show an anonymised version of it to other users to help everyone see realistic figures; you can ask for it to be removed by contacting us.
Don't use the Service to submit false price/wait quotes, scrape the site at volume, attempt to bypass plan restrictions through the API rather than the UI, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access for misuse.
The Service links extensively to official government, health-system and insurer websites, and to private clinics and hospital groups. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of those external sites. A clinic or insurer being listed is not an endorsement.
The Service is provided "as is". While we try to keep information accurate and links current, we don't guarantee the Service is error-free, uninterrupted, or that any figure shown reflects the current real-world price or wait. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for losses arising from decisions made using information from the Service — always verify with the official source before acting.
We may update these terms or the Service itself at any time. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and, once accounts exist, notify signed-in users.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This section will be reviewed once the business is formally registered, in case that changes anything.
